For all those who prefer small projectors, Xiaomi distributes its most compact model in Spain: the Mi Smart Compact Projector. Contained in dimensions, with a powerful sound system, it includes everything necessary to function as a multimedia centre and even includes HDR10, all with Android TV 9.0 as the system base.
Xiaomi was celebrating today as it has launched new international products from its Malaysian division. At the presentation event we met the Redmi Note 9S, a Redmi Note 9 Pro renamed and ready to arrive soon in Europe. In addition, the Chinese brand has unveiled its latest multimedia projector, a device that we can already buy in Spain: the Xiaomi Mi Smart Compact Projector. Compact in dimensions, great in performance. And with a price not too high.
A compact, high-performance projector
There is enormous competition in the television market. LED, micro-LED or OLED screens, these are the three technologies from which it is customary to choose; with a jump in price and benefits between them, as is logical. That you do not have space to place a large TV? You can choose a projector, such as the Xiaomi Mi Smart Compact Projector. Of course, you need space to move it away from the projection site since this model is not short-shot, like its higher-performance brother the Xiaomi Mi laser Projector.
The new compact model lands on the international market to offer a maximum projection of up to 200 inches; with HDR10 to increase contrast and highlight colours. The resolution, yes, remains in Full HD, an inconvenience for those who project the screen in large dimensions.
The Xiaomi Mi Smart Compact Projector offers good quality projection hardware while maintaining certain processing restrictions: the built-in SoC is an Amlogic T962-Xz; along with 16 GB of storage and 2 GB DDR3 of RAM. It has two 5W speakers, one on each side of the projector; with a spacious interior sound chamber that reinforces the bass and the various layers of audio. In addition, Xiaomi takes advantage to include Dolby Audio and DTS.
In terms of software, the Mi Smart Compact Projector has Android TV updated to the latest stable version available: 9 Foot. This implies that the projector has access to the Google app store, as well as other software plugins, such as Assistant. Everything from a remote control as compact as the projector itself.

The projector has been launched today internationally from Xiaomi Malaysia but was already available. You can buy it in the online store in most countries.
